Established in 1931, the American Society of Jackson Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is the largest organization of specialized reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons in the world. A member of ASPS will be a good choice for your surgeon because the organization has set standards for membership.
Each surgeon has completed at least 5 years of surgery training, and at least 2 years of practicing plastic surgery. Your choice should also be aware of latest trends in patient safety for breast augmentation, face and body reconstruction. It will help to talk to their previous patients.
Finally, you must be sure that your surgeon is board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
